Last night I heard the screaming
Loud voices behind the wall
Another sleepless night for me
It won’t do no good to call
The police
Always come late
If they come at all

Last night I heard the screaming
Loud voices behind the wall
Another sleepless night for me
It won’t do no good to call
The police
Always come late
If they come at all

And when they arrive
They say they can’t interfear
With domestic affairs
Between a man and his wife
And as they walk out the door
The tears well up in her eyes

Last night I heard the screaming
Then a silence that chilled my soul
Prayed that I was dreaming
When I saw the ambulance in the road

And the policeman said
“I’m here to keep the peace.
Will the crowd disperse?
I think we all could use some sleep.”

Last night I heard the screaming
Loud voices behind the wall
Another sleepless night for me
It won’t do no good to call
The police
Always come late
If they come at all

timetoremember2I’m a bit disappointed today because I didn’t have the chance to go to the talk you had with two holocaust survivors who came to our school to share their experiences , so I’d like you to tell me about their stories, what impact they made on you, your feelings about what you heard, what you didn’t know about the Holocaust, what you have learnt and what emotions you felt when listening to their traumatic experiences …

El holocausto pasó por España

  • Every year hundreds of men from West Africa drown as they try to reach Europe in overcrowded small boats. They are desperate to find well-paid work to support their families in Africa. One of the worst affected countries is Senegal. The government there has been accused of not doing enough to stop its people leaving. But now a famous musician from Senegal has joined the campaign to persuade Africans to stay in Africa. Rapper Didier Awadi has written a song about the dangerous crossing. He told us about it, in his own words.
  • If you want to learn more you have another video. Each year, tens of thousands of Africans decide to leave their homes in search of a better life. They flee poverty and conflict to make the journey as illegal migrants, risking dangerous seas and being sent back home. Al Jazeera’s Gabi Menezes reports from Senegal on the dream of reaching Europe and how some have found it can go terribly wrong.

Edupop Manifesto | Manifiesto Edupop

We do believe in technology, because we do believe in individuals. And that’s why we think our struggle is over the future of technology and over the way we manage with it, it is over the struggle for the future of our culture that is assailed from all corners by the punk way of thinking. Technology and knowledge must be free to share, sell or use in order to give away ideas, innovations and visions. So we will receive whatever is shared, sold or gave away in return. We live in a connective world where culture and knowledge is everywhere, and individuals must be free to do as they want in it. Look for the perfect melody Enter the free stage: EDUPOP! READING

Read in order to live.~ Gustave Flaubert ~ We shouldn't teach great books; we should teach a love of reading.~ B. F. Skinner ~ “We read to know we are not alone.” C.S. Lewis “No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.” Confucius “I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.” Groucho Marx
